Railroad Festival Thank You
The members of the DeQuincy Federated Service League, sponsors of the Louisiana Railroad Days Festival of DeQuincy, would like to extend a hearty THANK YOU to everyone who celebrated the 41st year of our beloved festival. Your support means everything to us and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Special “THANK YOUS” are offered to Mayor Riley Smith and Mrs. Kim Rainwater without whom the festival would not be possible. We would like to say thank you to the Railroad Museum Board and employees. Thank you to all members of DFSL and business groups that participated in this year’s festival.
We appreciate all of the local business and schools that supported the festival by wearing their railroad festival t-shirts each Friday. Special thanks to the businesses located along Lake Charles Ave. for your patience and cooperation prior to and during the festival. Our city’s festival would absolutely not have been possible without the hard work of Joe Richardson, Joe Larvadane and Paul Fontenot!! We appreciate ya’ll more than you know! THANK YOU is not enough!!! Also, thanks to Lt. Mitchell Taylor, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Department and Reserve Unit as well as Police Chief AnnaJo Haynes, the DeQuincy City Police, and Reserve Unit.
